Philipp Hofer has over 30 years in the hospitality industry, including 25 years with the Spanish Hotel Group Iberostar.

A native of Austria, Mr. Hofer studied at the School of Tourism and Business Administration in Klessheim and has continuously updated his education throughout his career.

His role as General Manager at Iberostar took him to different properties in Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Aruba and Jamaica.

For the past 17 years, Mr. Hofer has had a key role in Iberostar’s expansion into Jamaica, where he served as the Director of Operations for all Iberostar properties in Jamaica and Aruba until 2024.

He was appointed General Manager of INVEROTEL Jamaica in 2011, the Spanish Hotel Investment Association to represent all Spanish Hotels.

Philipp Hofer recently joined the Mexican Hotel Group RCD in June 2024 as Regional Director of Operations  to assist with the development of hotel investment in Jamaica.

Mr. Hofer is also a member of the JTB’s Human Resources Board Sub-committee.
